       Man mistakes courgette for bomb

A German man has been left embarrassed after mistaking a courgette for a bomb. The 81-year-old man called the police to his house in Bretten.

The police soon realised that it was just a really large courgette that somehow made it's way to his garden. Officers say the vegetable "really did look the a bomb"

The man does not grow courgettes, police beleive that the offending item was thrown over his fence. The courgette weighed 5kgs and was 40cm.

Unexploded bombs are very common in Germany over 50,000 were found in May last year.

I think that this is so crazy and I would be so scared if I thought it was an unexploded bomb.

I got this information from Kiwi Kids News.

108 year old message in a bottle
A message in a bottle found washed up on a German beach was confirmed as the oldest ever found.

The bottle was released in the North Sea for over 108 years. Guinness world records said it was one of the 1000 bottles sent out as part of an experiment. Inside each was a postcard that promised a shilling to anyone who returned.
I think this news is so exciting and I hope they find more of the 1000 bottles that was sent out by Mr. Bidder.

I found this information from Kiwi Kids News.
